24-year old Adam Chicksen has signed a one-year deal, and fills the spot vacated by Tareiq Holmes-Dennis. Chicksen was released by Brighton who signed the then highly rated defender from MK Dons, Chicksen’s home town club.
Chicksen only made 6 appearances in 3 seasons for Brighton due to injury and was out on loan to a host of clubs including Leyton Orient when Russell Slade was manager at Brisbane Road. I remember him being quite an up and coming star at MK Dons in a vibrant youthful team that Karl Robinson put together. He got his big move to Brighton but his career has stalled since. However he is young, and has something to prove, so I hope the move to SE7 works out for him.
Chicksen could well play tonight in the absolutely pointless and toe-curling Checkatrade Trophy tonight.
