Meire ridiculed again

The club might not win naff all in the forthcoming future but they are way ahead in the league table of ridicule with ace striker Katrien Meire the leading scorer.

An eagle eyed supporter on Charlton Life found some public documents from Companies House that show that Meire had recently resigned as a director of Charlton Athletic Holdings. Cue classic Charlton conspiracy theories alongside glee at the thought that Meire was packing her bags.

What then followed was hilarious as Addicks wondered to next steps whilst amateur graphologists analysed Meire’s signature to make sure it wasn’t a fake. Turns out it was, as Addicks’ protest against the regime and in particular our incompetent CEO took a different turn.

The club, prompted by Meire I would think, suddenly rolled out that serious corner flag and announced that “This document is false and the club is investigating the matter as it is something we take seriously.” The Guardian picked up on it today to take this prank nationally, which probably wouldn’t have happened if the club hadn’t decided to comment.

Let’s put this into perspective. Thousands demonstrate outside her office. Nothing. 100’s of banners unveiled in the ground. Nothing. Thousands of fans staying away. Nothing. Bottom of the table. Nothing. 6 managers in 2 years. Oh hang on, every decision better than the last. Phew, reassuring.

This may be a good time for me to welcome the new Head of Communications Mel Baroni. The 26-year old was previously at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment. I would say that she may not have made the best of starts.

I Just wonder what would have been done if the enterprising individual had filled the paperwork for Ms. Meire and Mr D for all three companies …

I’m embarrassed and annoyed at the way the club is going….i’m aware that many long standing staff at the club are frustrated and annoyed leading to de-motivation and pride in their work.
The team look disorganised, and lack a strong leader on the pitch when the going gets tough, ok we have a ‘new’ manager but I feel its a case of the orchestra playing as we slowly sink into League 1.
How How How have we got to this situation ?????

Di Canio apparently is sniffing around the vacant job at Rotherham…..things would be so different on the pitch if he was in our team, or involved in the coaching team.

  5. According to the BBC, Companies House have issued a statement on the matter that includes the line ‘Charlton Athletic had not signed up to a scheme which “would prevent false or fraudulent submissions being made”.
Who’s a lawyer then, have the club got one? lol

A lot of CAFC’s fans seem to think of RD+ as some sort of Master who has an evil cunning plan.
As incredulous (to the poor) as it may seem, this proves yet once again, only one thing, Total (frigging) Incompetence. From the CEO at least, or perhaps they want us to think they are stupid, nnooooo!!!!

  9. Unfortunately ‘the club’ (ie. the board) appears to be more galvanised by the latest woes of the inept CEO than they have ever been about their dire mis-management and consequent dysfunctionality of CAFC. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the matter their pursuit of ‘justice’ will only serve to retain the growing and ever widening focus on the situation at CAFC. Something about throwing away the shovel comes to mind, keep digging I say. The CEO’s contributions to the protest movement continue to impress.

I know there are rules about people who are deemed fit and proper to ruin ,sorry I meant run a professional football club in this country, does not the opinion of supporters come into the equation or is it simply just about the money because this farce cannot be a good ad for the football league
