Bristol City 1 Charlton Athletic 1
Meh. A last gasp undeserved equaliser just glosses over another poor performance where we were fortunate that City missed a hatful of chances and also missed a penalty.
I’m pleased for Harry Lennon and I heard the skipper made another rallying cry at the end asking for turning points. We’ll see what happens on Monday night.
Meanwhile Interim has admitted that we deserved nothing and Steve Cotterill said “We had so many other chances. Charlton were just trying not to get beaten, which is why they had so many men back getting in the way of our shots.” Really, what is our aspiration here. What does the club want?
Going to a fellow relegation candidate and hanging on for dear life is absolutely pointless. Yet Interim sets us up with four forwards and just two in the midfield. Sunday football stuff. And another injury, this time to Diarra and Cousins passed out at half-time. Credit to the boy for wanting to play however.
We have seen many generations of Charlton teams find inspiration from an underserved last minute equaliser and turn corners, dig in and move forward, but how many of us think that Fraeye has the slightest idea how to capture this moment, intensify the spirit and strengthen the resolve?
I haven’t got an ounce of confidence in this bloke. I hope Jacko proves me wrong.

Relegation watch: Rotherham did something we have been unable to do and beat a relegation rival. Bolton are now 7 points adrift of safety. MK Dons when in the last minute at home to Cardiff, Huddersfield beat Preston 3-1 and Fulham lost to Derby. Wolves beat Reading 1-0
