Charlton Athletic 0 Leeds United 0

From the radio I couldn’t work out if the game was dull, or exciting, if 0-0 was the right result or 6-6?

Certainly we started pretty well and had a couple of good chances, but then for parts Leeds edged it and definitely had the best chance to break the deadlock when Adeyemi hit the post when it was easier to score (photo).

The absence of Sarr brought about stability and Solly was improved and THD impressed. The commentary team said we were getting overrun in midfield in the second period, but up front both Vaz Te and Lookman played well. An extended contract for Lookman essential now following on from new deals for Lennon, Charles Cook and centre half Ezri Konsa this week.

Probably a point gained and we move out of the bottom three, but Tuesday as they say in Sheffield, is massive.

Relegation watch: Rotherham lost at Blackburn Friday night and MK Dons lost at home to Ipswich Saturday morning to pull them into the bottom three. Hull beat Bolton, Huddersfield lost at home to an improving Bristol City and Fulham were held 2-2 against fellow west Londoners Brentford.
