Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 Charlton Athletic 0

Most unexpected.

I was more interested in the performance, attitude and reaction today than the result, and from what I have read those attributes were all there, so credit to Guy Luzon and the players.

This is a windy road, and I expect plenty more divots in it as we navigate in the darkness around Duchâtelet’s network gimmick.

I deplore our owner to engage in more dialogue otherwise the distrust from Addicks will continue. In the meantime whether Roman Abramovich or the local butcher owns us, Addicks will back the players if they give everything for the shirt.

Luzon apparently cut a bit of a demonic character on the touchline, but it appeared to rub off, at least today.

Afterwards Luzon said that he “thinks that we will try and get two, three players and will be ok,” this week.

Ain’t that the truth Guy, let’s hope that the white lies have stopped.

Around the League: There is no stopping Watford. They gave Blackpool a two goal lead at half time and then fired in 7 (seven) 2nd half goals. Wigan lost at home to Huddersfield, who go above us, and Brentford won at Norwich.

A good start but real test will be against Rotherham. This is where we must win and hopefully in some reasonable style. 2-3 players are certainly welcome-we can only hope. We MUST FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHERE THE NET IS.

But none the less, I feel better foe today’s result and thanks to Watford for 7 in the second half. We could only wish,

‘Implore’ rather than ‘deplore’, although I can understand that mistake. The doom and gloom merchants were predicting 3-0 or 4-0. If at the beginning of the season I had been told, ‘I’m afraid you will only draw 0-0 at Wolves’, I would have taken it. But I agree that Rotherham is the big test, a poignant occasion for those of us with a name on the big screen.

I believe it was a Freudian slip Wyn. It could have been worse with a full stop after the word owner.

You may well “deplore” but I think you mean “implore” here. Freudian slip?

There is much to “deplore” with Roland’s model! Interesting to watch Watford’s 7 goals. Two of these were tap ins after the first shot hit the post, and two were taps in with the ball played to a colleague in the 6 yard box. We don’t get enough players forward and when we do get into an attacking position (Watt and Harriott yesterday) we are looking to shoot instead of square it for someone with an easier tap in. We know Igor can score, we just don’t seem to be giving him the right kind of crosses. Hopefully Luzon can sort this out for the Rotherham game which is looking like a 6 pointer to me. And, just looking at February’s fixtures, dear oh dear….
