Watt signs on a permanent

Tony Watt will be a fully fledged Charlton player after the club announced that the Scotsman has signed a three and a half year contract. Strangely with the No. 9 sat getting dusty in the laundry basket, Watt has been given the No. 32 shirt, one which I hope to see him in on Saturday.

The fee is described as undisclosed, so I assuming that Roly closed his eyes and moved some loose change from one trouser pocket to the next.

Watt certainly carried some baggage around with him, but the lad is 21-years old, is quick and must have some talent. We have had a some great Scotsmen play for the Addicks over time, let us support the lad and help him be the next one.

Simon Church is expected to move to Millwall, with the clubs haggling over whether it will be a loan or permanent. Millwall want the Welshman on loan. Nick Pope has moved to Bury until the rest of the season.

“…Roly closed his eyes and moved some loose change from one trouser pocket to the next.”

    That made me chuckle!

Everyone knows we need more fire-power at the front. Let’s hope he’s got it in spades and that the move back to the UK is what he needs to re-focus. Good luck to him.

I am hopeful CA, of course we all are. Looking at his Youtube showreel on the CAFC website with his interview he looks as if he has real pace and a talent for out muscling defenders and putting the ball away.

and he seems a realistic type pleased with the move in his interview. Up to him to get fit , make himself part of the solution in what sounds like a tired team and claim a place in the side.

    • I was impressed with what I heard in his interview. I’m quietly hopeful.
