Coquelin returns to Arsenal

If stories are true this morning then that is the case. First reported by the reliable Doctor Kish, but nothing as yet from either Charlton or Arsenal. A big blow that is for sure.

Arsenal have a whole range of injuries in their midfield with Arteta, Wilshire, Walcott all out and now Aaron Ramsey expected to be missing until the middle of January.

Coquelin has only made three starts and two sub appearances, but the Frenchman has made quite an impression on Addicks with many hopeful that somehow we could keep him beyond the end of the year.

With Jacko out for a month, Moussa injured and Buyens not fully fit, our midfield becomes as threadbare as our attack.

LA Galaxy reserve Jack McBean is currently on trial with the Addicks. The 19-year 6ft striker may have potential but has only been playing in the North American 3rd Division. He does captain the side but as a striker he only scored 5 of his team’s 54 goals last season.

UPDATE: Coquelin return to Arsenal confirmed.
