Marcus Tudgay

Sounds as if we may see Marcus Tudgay tomorrow. Nothing official but Tudgay himself tweeted: “On route for new challenge #cafc for the rest of the season.”

In a season full of bad jokes, maybe Marcus is also taking the pee out of us, but one would assume that the comms team will burst into life at some point and confirm the loan signing of the Forest striker.

Tudgay was actually born in Sussex, not far along the South Downs from where I am now sipping Shiraz at my parents.

However Tudgay has spent his entire career in Yorkshire and the East Midlands, the most fruitful of which was spent at Hillsborough – he is not cup tied by the way – three or four years ago.

He signed for Nottingham Forest in November 2010 for an undisclosed fee and has been on loan to Barnsley a couple of times including at the end of last year where he scored once.

If he is coming, then welcome Marcus.

Edit: Confirmed on OS
