The 2010 Shower Gellies™

A couple of days in January post Parky and pre Powell, this blog had a couple of days with well over 700 daily views. Well I fully expect that to be beaten today. Now don’t give me the old this is not CAFC content line, you’ve either come here because you are dyslexic, or you Googled ‘shower gel’ or like me you expect hotels to have enough product in their bathrooms to clean their guests. Welcome to the 5th annual Chicago Addick Shower Gellies™

Previous years winners: 2009; 2008; 2007; 2006.

The Shower Gel Heaven Award Winner is:
Rosewood Mayakoba, Mexico

Gallons of luxurious bubbly shower gel, and they even put a shower outside for the exhibitionists amongst us.

The What Do I Have To Do To Get Some More Shower Gel Around Here Award Winner is:
Le Crystal, Montreal

It was nice and all, but a thimble of shower gel just about got my left leg clean and more wasn’t forthcoming despite complaints in my best French accent.

The Bar Of Fresh Air Award Winner is:
The Westin, Tampa

Nothing, not even a crappy old bar of Pears. At least the water was warm.

The Most Improved Award Winner is:
Tuckers Point, Bermuda
We stayed there in the summer and there was zero shower gel available, but after the Rosewood’s intervention we stayed again and the hotel bathroom was suddenly swarming with the stuff.

Thank you for reading to the bottom.

  1. I always come here, CA – whatever the topic. Just got back from Barbados. Not much gel but gallons of Banks Beer to bathe in (My new favorite). Don’t know if you get it on your island.

  2. Thanks Ken.

No Banks unfortunately, nothing but imported stuff here. Even Goslings Black Seal rum is not made here anymore.
